JF’s FAITH and ACCESO
INTERNATIONAL’s VISION
As a gesture of support and inspiration, we share with you
a poem on faith that Jill-Frances cherished dearly.
When it comes to standing on something solid and when it comes
to flying, JF gave us what we need to do both. Her strength, her spirituality, her dedication and her thoughtfulness serve
as tremendous examples of how to stand on solid ground. Her energy, her enthusiasm, and her sense of adventure serve as incredible examples
of how to fly. May what JF represented as "solid" help you stand strong and may what
she represented in "flight" help you soar today and always.
The message conveyed in this poem on FAITH is in keeping with Acceso International’s
motto of “adelante”. The Spanish term means ‘forward’
and ‘to go on.’ For Acceso International, it serves as a positive
principle of hope and inspiration. Our collective efforts are certainly enabling
our individual and group recipients to move forward. In the face of the poverty,
exploitation, discrimination, inequality, political instability and civil unrest
that plague so many of our students, this motto encourages us to consider that
other more progressive realities are possible. In this light, our challenge
remains the enhancement of human and educational potential through support and
solidarity. Our approach is a forward-looking, social justice and transformative
one that seeks to bring about the optimum future to which humanity is entitled.
This approach is also a reflection of JF’s vision of equality and her
compassion for marginalized people. Based on this understanding, JF’s
incredible gifts and principles will always be integrated into Acceso International’s
policies and projects.
We hope that JF’s examples of charity and solidarity become sources of
inspiration for others to make a difference in the lives of those she cherished
and cared about most.
