In the Bahamas, Acceso International supported the post-secondary education of a young female Haitian refugee from Eleuthera Island between 2001 and 2004. She pursued her studies at the Success Training College in Nassau where she obtained a Medical Assistant Degree. By paying her full tuition each academic year, Acceso International has helped to create meaningful educational and employment opportunities for this young marginalized and displaced woman. She is now working in a private clinic and hopes to pursue further studies in medicine. Acceso International has been very impressed by this student’s dedication and diligence, as well as by her strong academic and employment success. She also enjoys volunteering and helping others.
“I am so happy that I got into college to start something in the medical field that will enable me to help those who are in need.”
“Thanks a lot to everyone who helped me in acheiving my goal in life.” Female recipient
