ACCESO INTERNATIONAL in NICARAGUA

Since 2004, Acceso International has been supporting over 1500 post-secondary students at Fundación Escuela Para Todos (School for All) in Managua, Nicaragua. Fundación Escuela Para Todos provides computer training to individuals who are socio-economically disadvantaged, unemployed or underemployed, physically challenged, struggling to exit the sex trade, seeking to escape street gang life and/or trying to overcome substance abuse. The sponsored students obtain diplomas in Computer Programming, Computer Operator and Cash Register Computer Skills.

Acceso International’s partnership with Escuela Para Todos fosters safe and peaceful spaces of learning, creativity and dignity. Our gesture of solidarity enables the students at Escuela Para Todos overcome the obstacles of exploitation, discrimination, marginalisation, displacement, unemployment and underemployment. As a result, the students are actively shaping their own futures and are themselves recreating the dynamics of equality, freedom and success.

Acceso International is proud to collaborate with Escuela Para Todos not only because the school is responsible, organized and accountable, but also because it serves as a champion for the human rights of some of the most vulnerable, exploited and marginalised populations of Nicaraguan society. We congratulate the founders and staff of Escuela Para Todos for their visionary, transformative and successful educational efforts.

“For me, Escuela Para Todos has been very important because of the support they have given me to become trained as a computer programmer. This has been very useful in my personal development and in getting a job, because without knowing how to work computers we are limited in the work we can get.” Youth with few economic resources

“Thanks to the support from Acceso and Escuela Para Todos, I have just graduated as a Computer Operator. Now I am looking for work in order to be able to support my children and go forward with my family. Thanks to everyone who continues to give a hand to all the people in need.” Single mother

“I am a youth with scarce economic resources. I thank Acceso and Escuela Para Todos for the support they have given me to be able to continue with my studies. I thank all the people who have helped to make this possible. Just as they have given me support, I hope that they can give a hand to other youth. Gracias.” Youth who cannot afford to go to university

“I graduated from the course in Cash Register Computer Skills. I thank all the people who have given their grain of sand so that our dreams become a reality.
